The Sphinx: University College Students' Magazine
The Sphinx arts magazine, originally called the University College Students' Magazine and later the Magazine of the Undergraduates in the University of Liverpool, was usually published monthly during term time and included poetry, prose and essays written by students at the university.
In 1925 The Sphinx began releasing an annual special edition entitled Pantosfinx. This satirical edition was sold from a week before Panto Day, all profits going to the Liverpool Hospitals.
The digital collection includes editions of The Sphinx from 1892-1939 and 1945-1998, and Pantosfinx from 1928-34, 1937-40, 1947-52, 1953-54, 1965-1982.
